Our Mission

To educate and empower girls of Malawi to reach their highest potential

Breaking down barriers that prevent girls from going to school such as child marriage and cultural discrimination

SVYF is a Youth-Led, community based organization that aims to promote education, health and wellbeing of all the children and youth in Malawi.

We focus in the following areas: Education,FemaleYouth Empowerment, Hunger and effects of the HIV / AIDS epidemic.

Our Girls Education Program seeks to empower girls in the central region of Malawi Africa. This program engage primary and secondary school girls including those who dropped out of School early because of lack of support or poor performance. Through weekly interactive club, SVYF meet with these girls encouraging them to stay in school and to concentrate on their studies. There are now over 120 girls from primary and secondary school in the weekly girls interactive club.

Working Towards a Better Tomorrow
Save the Village Youth Foundation efforts and activities aim at changing young girls and women’s mentality from “can’t do it” to “can do it”. SVYF is creating an environment where young women can have a voice about issues facing them in their own communities. These activities boost their self- esteem and allow them to participate on an equal platform as their male counterparts
